DCMP Parent Corporation - Volunteer

The Parents Corporation assists the band during summer camp, summer rehearsals, regular school year rehearsals and all performances and competitions. You, as a member of the Parents Corporation can be involved and share this exciting experience with your child. Attending the monthly Parents Corporation meetings are the best way to get involved and get the "scoop" on upcoming activities. It is also a forum where you can help us improve our organization.

Participating as a member of the Board of Directors or as an officer is an invaluable way to be involved with the band. You are able to really impact the experience of the students in the best band in Colorado.

Volunteers are needed to assist band operations throughout the year. In the summer, we need parents to bring ice to rehearsals every day. The Quartermaster needs help fitting and adjusting uniforms. Help is needed to organize and work the student picnic and Friends and Family Field Show Demonstration.

In the fall volunteers are needed to bring ice to all rehearsals and performances, assist at performances, prepare meals and snacks, and help with fundraising activities throughout the season. Volunteers are also needed to prepare costumes for the Parade of Lights.

In January or February the Parents Corporation sponsors the annual awards banquet. Parents who can help with the planning and organization of the event are needed.

There is much work to be done to ensure that our band has a quality experience and volunteers are vital to the success of our children. Please volunteer as much as you can. Contact one of the Board members for information about how you can help or to offer your services.

Most importantly, attend performances and cheer for our students. They work very hard and deserve recognition and appreciation. Experience the pride!
