DCMP Parent Corporation - About Us

The Denver Citywide Marching Band Parents Corporation is a 501c3 organization that was formed to provide financial and other support to the Denver Citywide Marching Band students. All band members and their families are automatically members of the Parents Corporation.

The Parents Corporation cordially invites you to become involved in the many activities that support the band and contribute to the band's success. We hold monthly meetings on the third Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the South High meeting room. All band parents are encouraged to attend. There are also many things you can volunteer for.

Some of the areas that the Parents Corp. supports:

  • Funds a large portion of summer band camp
  • Provides a large number of fund raising/community service opportunities to assist families with their band expenses
  • Organizes the student picnic and the awards banquet
  • Purchases equipment and instruments
  • Provides meals, snacks, Gatorade and water as needed
  • Pays entry fees into performances
  • Pays annual liability insurance premium
  • Maintains website and web address
  • Sends email notifications
  • Organizes ongoing fundraising ativities that involve the community. Examples are Albertson's cards and Beau Jo's Pizza.
  • Solicits donations from the Denver community

Parents and Students of Denver Citywide Marching Band can earn money to cover their band expenses by participating in a variety of fundraising events. Any family member, or friend may participate in fundraising activities to help raise money for any band member.
